2003-'04 and is expected to produce 75 million tonnes by 2010.
Secondary Steel Sector contributes
62% of Steel Bars and Rods produced in India.
India has over 17 billion tonnes of
Iron Ore reserves and over 240 bilion tonnes of non-coking coal
reserves.
Target for steel production in India
by 2019-20 is 110 million tonnes.
